The end of August marked another important milestone for Carbon Washington and its efforts to put Initiative 732 on the 2016 ballot: the 180,000-signature mark! The campaign collected over 70,000 signatures during the month of August and is well on its way to passing the 200,000 mark.
Campaign momentum continues to grow, collecting over 10,000 more signatures in August than July. Carbon Washington is confident similar numbers will be reported for the month of September.
I-732 needs roughly 247,000 signatures to qualify for the ballot, and is looking to collect nearly 330,000 to make up for any signatures deemed invalid. To learn more about the campaign and its efforts, check out Facebook and Twitter. To get involved, contact your local CarbonWA chapter.
