Campaign News

Carbon Washington is thrilled to announce the campaign has collected a total of 237,000 signatures, nearly reaching the required 247,000 needed to qualify Initiative 732 for the November 2016 ballot. CarbonWA hopes to gather 330,000 total signatures to compensate for any signatures deemed invalid.

“We are humbled by the incredible support across the state for climate action,” said Kyle Murphy, campaign co-director. “Our volunteers are sending a clear message that Washington needs a price on carbon, that a bipartisan simple solution is the best way there, and that we will not wait any longer.”
