Hello carbon tax enthusiasts,
I am Claire Meints, recently hired on as CarbonWA’s first staff member. I will be focused on the campaign to pass our ballot measure in November of 2014. I am quite excited to kickstart this campaign with you and with the events below and a request for your feedback on this survey.
1. We will be having an open forum on Thursday, June 20th at 6pm, at 1109 1st Ave, in the Cascadia Consulting office in Seattle. There are only a few seats left, so please RSVP to email@example.com.
2. For those of you not in Seattle or unable to make this meeting, we will have a conference call you can join on Tuesday June 25th at 7pm. Call (712) 432-0080, and use the access code: 482181#. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
3. If you cannot attend the meeting or jump on the conference call, please respond to this survey. Tell us how you can help, and how we can support you in your involvement!
An important part of this campaign is collecting signatures to put the measure on the ballot. By the end of the summer, we aim to have people pledged to collect 100,000 signatures. If you haven’t pledged, please do so via the survey!
Thanks, and I look forward to meeting and talking with you soon,
PS. The NYT’s Andy Revkin will be joining two world-famous climate scientists and UW’s Usha McFarling at the Seattle Science Festival on Saturday. Register here.
