Hello carbon tax friends: We’re at 333,370 signatures and counting, so please turn in or mail in every single signature you have as we push towards our stretch goal of 350,000! Our mailing address is PO Box 85565, Seattle WA 98145-1565, or if you want to visit the office in person we’re at 1914 N 34th St, Suite 407, near Gas Works Park in Seattle, office phone 206-632-1805. Thank you! And congratulations all around—to volunteers, donors, chapter leaders, staff, Executive Committee, fellows, interns, and everyone else involved in the campaign—for passing a 330,000 signature target that seemed impossibly daunting just a few months ago!
As noted last week, what comes next is Resting, Reaching out, and wRapping up, and I want to focus on the 3rd item because this will be a focal point for the campaign for the rest of this month.
Second, we could use some help around the office in the weeks ahead, so if you have a few hours to spare then come on by or email email@example.com to set something up. (You can also call the office phone at 206-632-1805.) And if you’d rather do data entry from home then that’s an option too!
Third, campaign staff will be working towards a stretch goal of 350,000 signatures to build up our cushion in order to make sure we get the 246,372 valid signatures we need. If you can continue to help please do—if you have a personal stretch goal (like joining the 250 Club, which we’ll update in a few days) or if you want to have fun with us gathering signatures when the new Star Wars movie opens on Dec 18—but we’re not going to turn the screws on you if you need to rest and recharge the batteries for the next phase of the campaign. Regardless, please continue to share our signature-gathering job postings with students and others who need a bit of cash… and please make sure to turn in or mail in all of the signatures you have! (Our absolute drop-dead deadline for turning in signatures to the Secretary of State’s office in Olympia is W Dec 30, but if you have pages with signatures on them please turn them in now!)
Thank you to everybody who donated to our $50,000 Executive Committee matching challenge!
